A.S. Hagi was raised in the suburban south end of Ottawa, Canada. Though his stories are works of fiction, they are inspired by the beauty of everyday life and the absurdity that can only be found within our social and political institutions. His literary heroes are Ursula K. Le Guin, Diana Wynne Jones, and Robertson Davies.
When not writing or working at his day job in the tech sector, he is busy raising his family, avoiding injury while playing sports, daydreaming of trips he will likely never take, and deciding what book to read next.
