UA-135136427-1 Amy Dixon

Amy Dixon

Amy Dixon's fervor for writing could not be quashed. No matter how hard her demanding legal practice tried, she was determined; studying in the evenings until she earned enough credits to graduate from the Creative Writing Program at the University of Toronto, even making time for a few extra courses in Editing and Grammar at George Brown College.

While at U of T, Amy was a finalist in the Penguin Random House Student Award for Fiction Competition (2013/2014) for her submission, So Like Fear, and her short story, Reasons to Fly, was chosen out of more than five hundred when she was a finalist in the Writers' Union of Canada's Annual Short Prose Competition for Developing Writers (2013). Now exclusively focused on her writing, Amy lives in Toronto with her husband and two young children.
