Kiirsten joined the advertising industry in 2010 after completing her Communications degree through the University of Winnipeg and Red River College. She spent three years with McKim Communications Group, developing award-winning advertising campaigns for the education, arts, utilities and not-for-profit industries, as well as municipalities.
In 2013, Kiirsten joined Think Shift – a fast-growing agency that specializes in brand, culture and digital marketing. She took on the role of Content Lead, managing a team of writers and working with clients and fellow creatives to reinvent their brands and develop strategic inbound and outbound marketing campaigns. The work helped clients in the agriculture, manufacturing and professional services industries achieve their sales and engagement goals.
Kiirsten has a passion for brand, storytelling and nurturing the creativity in others. She can help organizations craft their brand story and define a unique voice, and then bring it to life in their marketing and communications. Starting UpHouse has given Kiirsten the opportunity lean into this passion and form more collaborative relationships with clients than is typically possible in a traditional agency relationship.
