When she was in grade two, Megan wrote and illustrated her first book about an adventurous horse named Monty, then went on to read every single book in the library about horses and detectives. She hasn’t stopped reading or writing since. She spent more than 10 years in the non-profit sector writing content to persuade and inspire people to donate money to worthy causes including environmental law, women’s empowerment, mental health and food security.
She is the co-author of Design Like Nature: Biomimicry for a Healthy Planet and the forthcoming Fresh Air, Clean Water: Our Right to a Healthy Environment (Orca Books, March 2022). Megan lives near Vancouver, British Columbia, with her family and two fuzzy orange cats. When she's not writing, she spends her time running or biking through her local mountains.
