Trisha Slay grew up in a haunted house surrounded by mystery novels penned during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction. That’s probably why she can’t resist a solid whodunit puzzle with a ghostly twist. She graduated from Miami University in 1993 with a degree she’s never put to any practical use. Following a string of low-paid, dead-end jobs, she packed up everything she owned in a Dodge Neon and drove across country to search for better opportunities. She currently lives in the North Georgia Mountains where she divides her time between navigating the corporate quagmire and dreaming up new paranormal mysteries.
Trisha is a member of Sisters in Crime (SinC), Mystery Writers of America (MWA), Atlanta Writers Club (AWC) and volunteers with the Dahlonega Literary Festival. She will receive her MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in January 2023.
When she’s not hunched over a computer, she enjoys hiking in the National Forest with her husband and their Wirehaired Vizsla. She also loves visiting historic cemeteries, trying new recipes, helping homeless pets, Star Wars geekery, and sampling red wine. However, she’s learned the hard way that writing about restless spirits while sampling a glass of Zinfandel can cause wicked nightmares.
Trisha is thrilled by the opportunity to connect with her readers to share bookish interests and ghost stories.
