Karen writes thrillers and mysteries, with a focus on twisty family saga. Although she has not committed a crime herself, she is fascinated by human psychology and the social dynamics of crime. A former educator and exec at TVO, she lives with her family in Toronto.
Karen has several educational articles published in magazines, and her first novel was selected by Amnesty International as its 2021 spring book club novel to represent women’s issues. She is a board member of Crime Writers of Canada, and a member of Sisters in Crime National and Sisters in Crime Toronto. She enjoys sports, jujubes, and walking her high-strung French bulldog, Ruby, on the boardwalk of Lake Ontario.
