From scuba diving to sky-diving and anything in between, Kari is an adventurer at heart. When she is not planning her next trip you can find her regaling her family with elaborate tales, creating colorful characters for her picture books and novels in verse, or baking a delicious assortment of treats to suit every allergy in her family. Kari loves to support fellow writers and participate in creative writing contests. She has placed, been long-listed or received honorable mentions in 14 contests since 2019, including: Kid’s Choice Kidlit Writing Contest, PBParty, 50 Precious Words, Write Mentor Children’s Novel And Picture Book Awards and Halloweensie. Two cats and six chickens are kind enough to share their home with Kari, her husband, and their two little girls in California.
