A Real Somebody
Nancy Drew meets Mad Men in this post WW-II drama. Twenty-two-year-old June Grant is under pressure to quit her job in the steno pool of a Montreal ad agency and become a picture-perfect wife and mother, just like her sister Daisy, a former model. But June she dreams of more and those dreams don’t include a husband. When June inadvertently gets drawn into writing the copy for a new agency account, she soon realizes that nothing in her life is as it seems. Not even her own sister, Daisy, is getting drawn deeper into a late-night Montreal scene with sketchy connections between a modeling agency, a taxi service, and an underground jazz club. To rescue her sister and the agency’s most important account, the normally compliant June must act.
