The Last Few Miles of Road

Widowed Carter McCoy is diagnosed with terminal cancer and has months to live. Though his life has been good, Carter has one regret: the man responsible for this daughter’s death years ago is still alive. So, with his dog Chester at his side, 72-year-old Carter McCoy starts planning a murder, despite his lack of military or police training.  His quest for vengeance, however, gets complicated by a blackmail attempt, rural cops pressured to clear their first murder in years, local drug dealers, plus Carter’s guilt for killing another human being. The Last Few Miles of Road is a slow burn thriller featuring highly relatable characters, authentic dialogue, with many twists and turns.
