Looking forward to the upcoming Fall semester of A Literary Agent’s Guide to Getting Published!
Starting on October 17th, my bossman and TRF president Sam Hiyate and I will be teaching writers about the business of publishing exclusively at the University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies.
Not only does this course give writers access to TWO literary agents, it also includes one-on-one critiques, a query letter writing workshop, non-fiction proposal tutorial, copyright and contracts module, an overview of the publishing cycle, and specific insight into current markets!
It’s the ultimate professional development for aspiring writers. Learn what you need to know to succeed in today’s literary world and get ready to publish! And, of course, you’ll earn credit toward the Creative Writing Certificate, in which many other brilliant courses are offered and taught by industry professionals.
Class starts on the heels of the Frankfurt Book Fair, where Sam and I will be meeting with publishers, editors, agents and scouts from all over the world. We’ll have lots of new insider knowledge and plenty of trade stories to share.
The course runs for eight weeks—until December 5th—on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:00 on the St. George Campus.
Can’t wait to meet our new students! Sign up here.
