New Deal: DEGRASSI MATRIARCH by Linda Schuyler
Order of Canada recipient and Degrassi television franchise producer Linda Schuyler's DEGRASSI MATRIARCH has sold to ECW Press.
Shown in over 160 countries, Degrassi is known as the show that "goes there," pushing boundaries and opening up conversations as it reassured kids everywhere: "You are not alone." DEGRASSI MATRIARCH will chronicle Schuyler's nearly four-decade adventure producing the Degrassi television shows.
"I love stories of underdogs and pioneers and this is a true story of both,” said TRF agent and CEO, Sam Hiyate. “As Linda evolves from being a teacher to filmmaker and casting age-appropriately -- in an age when no one else did -- and tackling difficult and yet urgent topics in the shows, you can't help but love her, and cheer her on for her courage and resilience."
Told with unflinching, light-hearted and personal revelations and anecdotes about: Drake (back when he was Aubrey Graham), Chaz Bono, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, and even a hobbit -- to name a few, and creating "the world's longest anti-bullying campaign.”

Degrassi has had such a lasting impact on generations of viewers. Linda Schuyler’s behind-the-scenes story sounds like a fascinating soflo wheelie life read, especially for longtime fans of the franchise.
Wow, Linda Schuyler’s Degrassi journey is amazing! I love how the show’s bold colors inspire us. Speaking of colors, I often use RGBA to HEX Color Converter when I need to match those vibrant palettes in my projects.
