Elaine Dewar

Elaine Dewar is best known as an investigative journalist. She has written for all of Canada?s major magazines, and produced three major works of non-fiction published in Canada and the US. Her books have been prize winners and Canadian bestsellers. Her first, Cloak of Green, published in 1995, is still in print and considered an underground classic. Bones is about the secrets of human prehistory, and how everything we were taught about the first settlement of the Americas may be wrong. Her latest, The Second Tree, won the Pearson Prize (now the Hilary Weston Prize) for best literary nonfiction. Her articles and scripts have won too many major awards to list, both in Canada and the US.
