Barb Sheldon loves food. She is a cookbook author living, cooking, and writing in her Treaty 7 home of Calgary/Mohkinstsis. She uses the joy of food to connect communities, celebrate culture, and create memories. This Canadian prairie girl holds a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies focussing on barriers to food literacy for marginalized youth from Royal Roads University where she was the recipient of the Alexander Cahoon Scholarship for Leadership and Academic Excellence. If she’s not stirring something delicious in a soup pot in the kitchen, you can find her in the garden or teaching classes to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and anyone else who is curious about food.
