Bonnie Allen
Bonnie Allen is an award-winning journalist who has spent nearly three decades covering stories from across Canada and abroad, including five years based in West and East Africa. She holds a Master of International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, with distinction, and has been recognized for her coverage of domestic violence, sexual assault and refugee experiences.
Allen is a born storyteller, who has travelled great distances by ice road, helicopter, train, motorcycle, boat, bush taxi and other even stranger forms of transport in order to talk to people about their lives. A proud farmer’s daughter, she lives in Swift Current, Saskatchewan with her husband, two children and a Golden Retriever. She writes fiction in her spare time.
