Chase Compton

Chase Compton moved to New York City as a teenager looking for love, and stayed for over fifteen years. He spent those years discovering every nook and cranny of the Manhattan food and beverage scene, both by indulging in it and working in it. Three years ago Chase began working at downtown's hottest restaurant and nightclub ACME, which is located in NoHo.

In December of 2013, Chase began writing a blog on the restaurant review site yelp.com. His bitingly honest and true stories posted on the site as "literary graffiti" did not take long to draw a very large following. Detailing the relationship Chase had with his ex boyfriend (who is only ever mentioned as "Him"), the reviews on Yelp eventually became a cohesive account of the relationship as a whole.

Seeking a new start after the completion of The Yelp (which he considers a sort of "Dear John" letter to New York City) Chase relocated to Los Angeles. Looking to expand upon his work in the food and beverage industry, he has taken a position managing The Standard Hotel, Hollywood, on the Sunset Strip. Although he no longer writes Yelp reviews, he is currently working on a new project based upon his transition from life in New York to his new life in Los Angeles.
