Megan Clendenan had authored several books for young readers, including Just In Case: Saving Seeds in the Svalbard Seed Vault, a Junior Library Guild Gold Selection and recipient of the 2026 NCTE Orbis Pictus Award for Outstanding Nonfiction for Children (amongst other honours). She has worked for various nonprofit organizations focused on environmental law, women’s empowerment, mental health, and urban food security, and infuses those passions into her writing. She lives near Vancouver, BC, with her family and two fuzzy orange cats. A prolific author, Megan has a middle grade project forthcoming with Owl Kids Books and two picture book projects forthcoming with Kids Can Press.
