Winnipeg-born, Barcelona-based poet and critically-acclaimed translator of William Carlos Williams (Lumen Penguin-Random House published 3 hardcover editions in its first year of publication) as well as a majority of the Star-Trek catalogue into Spanish and Catalan, Michael Tregebov has been called Winnipeg's Mordecai Richler. His first novel, The Briss, was a finalist for the Commonwealth First Novel Prize. He is currently 6 books into his Divine Comedy series which follows the exploits of the denizens of a Winnipeg curling club ("a pastrami of humour, curling, class war, and sweaters").
