Nancy Pearson
Nancy Pearson is a former government writer and communications professional. Before leaving that career, Pearson headed back to the classroom to study creative writing at the University of Victoria; she graduated with distinction. In addition to the hundreds of government news releases Pearson wrote, her published work includes literary and personal essays. Pearson earned a YM YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Communications for her volunteer work to raise awareness about the dangers of crystal meth.
When not writing, Pearson can be found exploring laundromats. After 15 years of working in government communications, Pearson knows a lot about human nature and the ‘spin’ cycle. She is writing her first book, a chronicle of the glory, decline, and grit of coin-ops. It offers a very different kind of writing—authentic stories told from the heart.
