Born in Spain, Oscar Allueva is a Vancouver-based lawyer with a strong creative bent. He writes crime and legal fiction as a way of telling stories that fascinate, surprise and shine the light on the darker side of human nature.

 

A newcomer to the genre, his debut novel, The Blood Libel, is the first of a trilogy featuring a volatile and cynical female lawyer who struggles to fight the injustices meted out by a corrupt legal system. Unresolved conflicts and past wrongs are a central feature in his writing which also incorporate historical events and legal ploys that add intrigue and realism.

 

When not writing, he watches Netflix, where he hopes to see his work one day.
