Shahbano Bilgrami is a published poet, novelist, and educational consultant with over two decades of experience writing and editing for children. Born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Shahbano was educated in Canada, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom. Her articles have been published in print magazines as well as online and she has been a speaker at several international literary festivals. In addition to her publications for young readers, which include the four-book adventure series Munna Man and Baby Lady (OUP Pakistan 2017), the Starlight Graded English Readers (Lightstone Publishers Ltd, Pakistan, 2022), and a pre-primary series for Oxford University Press, UK, she also writes literary fiction.  Shahbano’s debut novel, Without Dreams (HarperCollins 2007), was long listed for the Man Asian Literary Prize 2007, and her second book, Those Children (HarperCollins 2017/Harper360 2018), was long listed for the DSC Prize for South Asian Fiction 2017.
