Sharon Keating
Sharon Keating is a lawyer and amateur historian, with a BA degree in history from the University of New Orleans and a law degree from Loyola University Law School.
Sharon also served as a licensed tour guide in New Orleans after receiving a certification from Delgado College. She is semi-retired from the law, but continues to study and write about the history and unique culture of New Orleans. Sharon is the author of New Orleans in Photographs (2005), New Orleans Then and Now (2010), and was a travel writer and contributor to Tripsavvy.
Sharon is a resident of New Orleans where she lives with her husband of over 50 years and a rescued yellow Lab. She is the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of five perfect grandchildren.
Sharon is part of a writing team with her daughter, Christi Keating Sumich. They are the co-authors of Hauntingly Good Spirits: New Orleans Cocktails to Die For (2024) and The Brandy Milk Punch (2025), part of the Iconic New Orleans Cocktail Series. Together, they write Madame Peychaud’s Peculiar Pieces, a culinary paranormal cozy mystery series set in New Orleans.
