"A tween girl feels like she doesn't belong due to having the scuzziest backpack in middle school (a science experiment proves it), a stay-at-home dad who makes bizarre lampshades for fun, and a love of vintage records; she sees an opportunity to show her classmates that she is normal through her classroom project."

Steven Sandor’s THE COLOR OF HOCKEY has sold to Joanna Green at Beacon Press by The Rights Factory agent Wayne Arthurson.

THE COLOR OF HOCKEY sheds light on the racism that is ingrained in the hockey culture through interviews with BIPOC professionals in the sport.

"It's been a pleasure working on this important project with Steven. The Color of Hockey deals with an important issue of the game, racism and the lack of inclusivity in the sport,” says TRF agent Wayne Arthurson. “Steven's straight-forward writing style and the telling of stories by active and retired BIPOC NHLers will challenge fans to look at their favourite sport in a very different way and hopefully change attitudes."
