New Deal: FLUTE ON A MISTY SEA by C.A. Parker
Theologian and musician C.A. Parker’s FLUTE ON A MISTY SEA has sold to Lisa Diane Kastner at Running Wild.
Set in feudal Japan, this new novel follows historical figure Kurosawa Kinko—samurai, monk and shakuhachi master— as he is expelled in disgrace from his temple in Nagasaki and embarks on a journey to reclaim his honor; discovering the complexity of the human spirit in a tale of adventure, love, and redemption.
“Titled after one of his most famous compositions, this novel about Kurosawa Kinko and the Edo period will enthrall historical fiction fans and Japan enthusiasts, and anyone who loves a great story of redemption,” says The Rights Factory agent Natalie Kimber. “Parker brings so much to this carefully told tale, from his own expertise playing shakuhachi to deep research on the period and Kinko’s long journey through ancient lands. There’s so much to love here!”
FLUTE ON A MISTY SEA is scheduled for publication in fall 2023.

Me gusta ese enfoque porque no se limita a presentar interpretaciones, sino que también ayuda a comprender por qué determinadas cifras han adquirido ciertos significados a lo largo del tiempo.
I appreciate the depth of research and clarity in your writing. The way you presented complex information so simply is remarkable. it reeks of rot
