Sam Chaiton's WE USED TO DREAM OF FREEDOM: NOT JUST ANOTHER 2G MEMOIR has sold to Kwame Scott Fraser and Julia Kim of Dundurn Press, for publication in fall 2024, by Kathryn Willms at The Rights Factory.
In the memoir, the author recounts coming-of-age in the shadow of the Holocaust to survivor parents and grapples with its effects on his extraordinary life, exploring the legacy of trauma and what we owe to the families we are born into and those we chose, and offering an insider's look at the modern dance scene in '70's New York and influential social justice campaigns the author participated in.
