E. P. Vogels
E. P. Vogels is the writer of fantastical adventures for young readers of all ages.
After receiving his MFA from the University of Southern California, Vogels spent
several years in the Los Angeles theatre scene, wielding swords and donning
tights, toiling away as an actor, director, and producer. After a brief stint teaching
competitive improv (an oxymoron at best), Vogels turned to the dark side, earning
his MBA and becoming a network television executive, where he helped launch
iconic hits such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls,
Supernatural, The Flash, and his personal favorite, Pinky and the Brain.
E. P. (known to friends and foes alike as Tad) now writes full-time, living with his
amazingly artistic wife Yolanda. Their menagerie includes two sons, three dogs,
and an ever-growing clowder of cats. Tad is a former member of the Academy of
Television Arts & Sciences, and a current member of the far less divisive SCBWI.
