Piper Whelan is a writer and journalist based in the Calgary area. She grew up on her family’s ranch in southern Alberta and spent her childhood reading, showing cattle, and riding. Piper is currently the field editor at Canadian Cattlemen, reporting on the news in the Canadian beef industry, new research, and issues facing beef producers, and she profiles ranchers and farmers across Canada. She is also a regular contributor to Western Horse Review, and her work has appeared in various agricultural publications.
