Diane Terrana

Diane is The Rights Factory's Executive Editor and has been editing manuscripts for the agency since 2011. She specializes in literary fiction, memoir and YA.  She has worked on many books that have gone on to publication, including Alexandra Risen's Unearthed, Barbara Radecki's The Darkhouse, Leslie Shimotakara's After the Bloom and Joanne Vannicola's soon-to-be released memoir: All We Knew but Couldn't Say.

Diane  has been devouring books since she was in grade one, which eventually led to an MA in English and an English/Drama teaching position. She has taught in the private and public secondary school system and is now an instructor in the University of Toronto's SCS/Creative Writing program.

She is also a writer, with recently published non-fiction in FreeFall Magazine. Her YA debut novel—The World on Either Side—is being launched by Orca Book Publishers in September, 2019.

Diane spends a lot of time in her head so occasionally she likes to get out of it. To that end, she went skydiving with her son on his 21st birthday—an experience that felt out of body as well.
