New Deal: SHELTER FOR THE DAMNED by Mike Thorn (audiobook)

The audiobook rights for Mike Thorn's SHELTER FOR THE DAMNED has sold to Kim Budnick at Tantor Media by The Rights Factory agent Stacey Kondla.

In this book, a troubled teen looking for a secret place to smoke cigarettes with his two best friends discovers a mysterious shack in a suburban field and finds within an escape greater than anything he has ever experienced, but it isn't long before the place begins revealing its strange, powerful sentience, and it wants something in exchange for the shelter it provides.

"I can't wait for Mike's book to come to life as an audiobook,” says Stacey Kondla. “Dark, disturbing, gritty, and intelligent, this one will be a great listen for horror fans."

The audiobook version of SHELTER FOR THE DAMNED is set for publication summer 2023.

In TAKEDOWN, a high schooler learns a costly new ALS treatment in Sweden might save her father's life, and she then gets sucked into the seedy and profitable world of illegal underground cage fighting, jeopardizing a college wrestling scholarship and her love life.

New Deal: Audio Rights to MORTIMER: RAT RACE TO SPACE by Joan Marie Galat

The audio rights for Joan Marie Galat's MORTIMER: RAT RACE TO SPACE have sold to Kim Budnick at Tantor Media by Stacey Kondla at The Rights Factory.

MORTIMER is a fun and quirky adventure in which a journal-keeping rat on the International Space Station (ISS) becomes certain his species is better suited than humans when it comes to colonizing Mars. He aims to prove his point and elevate the human perception of rats by conducting experiments and recording the video for his YouTube channel.

"MORTIMER is quirky and hilarious, but also smart,” says TRF agent Stacey Kondla. “Reading this book is so much fun that you don't realize you are also learning things about space and scientific method, and I can't wait to hear Mortimer's voice brought to life in an audiobook."
