THE UNCAGED VOICE: STORIES FROM WRITERS IN EXILE, edited by novelist and screenwriter Keith Ross Leckie, has sold to Marc Côté at Cormorant Books. This new anthology is a compilation of works by refugee journalists living in Canada. With an introduction by Mary Jo Leddy, it features pieces from writers who have escaped arrest and torture.
"When Keith shared the stories from the exiles at the Romero House Refugee Shelter, I was really moved,” said The Rights Factory CEO Sam Hiyate. “As an immigrant myself, I'm counting on these new Canadians to help pave the way for a better version of Canada for us all."
