Roger Lam
Roger Lam is a marketing manager by day and an open-mic performer by night. He used to be an assistant kindergarten teacher and co-founder of the non-profit, Students Expanding American Literacy (SEAL).
Roger's writing career began in high school when Teen Ink Literary Magazine published three of his short stories. Today, he writes picture books that celebrate Chinese American immigrants who learn from each other and their heritage to find joy in their new homes. He has also published dozens of articles and case studies while working at education companies like LinkedIn Learning, Aceable, and PenPal Schools.
Roger lives in Brooklyn with his partner, Jade, and a wok named Walter. When he’s not writing, he’s leading food and history tours in Manhattan’s Chinatown.
