Author Joan Marie Galat’s middle-grade activism book has sold to Lindsay Brown at Beyond Words/Aladdin, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
This book will provide young readers with an essential human rights background and an overview of issues as well as the tools to help them become informed and effective activists. It will also look at how others tackle local, national and international problems and provide a how-to guide for encouraging change on issues that impact people, animals, and the planet.
"Joan's ability to take adult-seeming subject matter and make it truly accessible and interesting to middle-grade kids is spectacular,” said TRF agent Stacey Kondla. “This is going to be a life-changing book for many children."
It is planned for release in Spring 2023.

Nobody leaves between acts. The Freak Circus reads like a visual novel game but tightens like a horror game, trapping you in a carnival where the applause never stops and the faces in the crowd repeat. Each choice determines whether you remain a spectator or become the show.
I’ve been playing Geometry Dash since 1.9, and the skill ceiling just keeps getting higher.
